The Story Behind Leela
Leela wasn't just a pet. She was family. Anyone who has loved an animal knows the feeling — that quiet loyalty, the joy they bring into your life, and the way they somehow make everything feel a little more grounded.
Leela had that effect on everyone around her. She reminded us daily what compassion looks like in its simplest form: show up, care for others, and be present.
When she passed, we knew we wanted her spirit to live on in something meaningful. Something that would continue the kind of kindness she gave so freely. So we created Leela's Licks — a way to turn that spirit into action.
Today, Leela's Licks brings together the causes supported by iLX Studios and reflects the same values Leela embodied: loyalty, compassion, protection, and care for others.

Families and Pets
Leela's story began with helping families care for their pets during difficult times. Pets are often the quiet heroes in people's lives — providing comfort, companionship, and emotional support.
Through Leela's Licks, we help families who are struggling to provide veterinary care, food, or essential support for the animals they love.
Because sometimes helping a family starts with helping the pet who stands beside them.
Veterans and Service Dogs
Leela understood loyalty better than anyone. That same loyalty is what inspires our support for organizations like Southern Cross Service Dogs, which pairs service dogs with veterans living with disabilities, including those coping with PTSD.
These dogs become trusted companions, protectors, and partners in healing. And for the veterans who receive them, that bond can be life-changing.
Youth and Local Communities
Leela also had a way of bringing people together. That spirit lives on in our support for youth programs that help young people grow through mentorship, sports, and community.
Programs like Stars Academy in Winter Garden, Florida help kids build confidence, discipline, and teamwork — lessons that stay with them long after the game is over.
Investing in young people means investing in the future.
Global Communities
Compassion shouldn't stop at the edge of our neighborhood. We are proud to support Many Hands for Abaco, an organization helping rebuild homes, schools, and educational opportunities in the Abaco Islands following the devastation of Hurricane Dorian.
Through partnerships like this, communities that might otherwise be forgotten are given the support they need to rebuild and move forward.
Extending the Mission
Introducing GRITLAB
Part of caring for the next generation means giving them tools to succeed. That's why iLX Studios created GRITLAB — a mindset development platform designed to help young athletes and performers strengthen confidence, resilience, and discipline.
And because youth development should never be limited by cost, GRITLAB is offered completely free.
It's another way Leela's spirit continues to make a difference.
